Hint: A streamlined body is a body shape that lowers the friction between the body traveling and the fluid such as air and water. Friction is a drag force that slows down the motion. It occurs when the fluid closest to the object sticks to its surface.

Step by step answer:Fish is cold-blooded animals that have a streamlined body. The streamlined body lowers the friction drag of water and the fish moving through it. Fish have a backbone, scales and they breathe through the gills. They have fins which are appendages used to maintain position, move, steer, and stop. They are present either along the centerline of the fish such as the back fins, tail fins and anal fins. Fish also have paired fins that are located at the chest and the hips. The back and anal fins help fish to not roll over to the sides and the tail fins help in pushing the fish to move forward. Scales are present in most of the bony fish. There are two types of scales; ctenoid or cycloid. Ctenoid scales have jagged edges and are composed of connective tissues covered with calcium. Cycloid scales have smooth rounded edges. Gills are the respiratory organs of the fish. The water is inhaled through the mouth and passes over the gills. Then it is exhaled from beneath the operculum.

Note: In other than fish birds have streamlined bodies to make their flight easier through the air. Snakes also have a streamlined body that helps them to glide forward easily. Also, humans have made airplanes and boats in a streamlined body so that they are able to move forward irrespective of friction drag by air and water.
