Hint: Simplify the ratio is the standard form and then equate individual’s ratio with their corresponding amount.

Complete step-by-step answer:
 The ratio of A and B is \[1\dfrac{2}{3}\] and \[2\dfrac{3}{4}\] respectively.
Simplifying the ratios we get;
A= \[\dfrac{5}{3}\] and B= \[\dfrac{{11}}{4}\] respectively.
To simplify it multiply both A and B by 12 (L.C.M of denominators 3 and 4)
\[ \Rightarrow A = 20\] and \[B = 33\].
Given that A got Rs.720.
\[
   \Rightarrow 20 = 720 \\
   \Rightarrow 1 = 36 \\
\]
Total money shared will be equal to the total ratios i.e. 20+33=53.
The value of 53 \[ \Rightarrow 53 \times 36\]=1908.
So, the total amount shared is Rs 1908.

Note: Instead of finding the B’s share go for the total one as in question we have to find the value of the total amount shared.
