DIALOGUE WRITING

Two friends, X and Y are meeting after a very long time.

X: Hi! How are you? I cannot believe we are meeting after six months! It seems like it has been an eternity.
Y: I am great! I think it feels longer than it has actually been because both of us were busy so we spoke very little during that time. Anyway, what have you been upto?
X: I have enrolled in a university! I am very excited. I am going to study criminal psychology. What have you been doing during this time?
Y: I have decided to take a gap year. It is better for me to take a break from studies.
X: That is good. You should take a break if you need to. What are you going to do during this year, then?
Y: I have already started an internship. I have an internship in a publishing company, and I am a junior assistant to the editor there. I really want to start writing as well.
X: I really want to develop some more hobbies in this time as well. Three months of vacation seems like a lot, though. I hope it goes by quickly.
Y: I think it will go by very quickly, as we both are now free on the weekends, we can meet more often!
X: Yes! I am looking forward to that as well. What do you want to do now? Do you want to go for a walk in the park?
Y: Yes, that sounds like fun.
