The Directorate of Medical Education and Research in Tamil Nadu has announced the closure of the registration window for the stray vacancy round of TN National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2023 counseling for undergraduate (UG) programs. Prospective candidates are required to register and complete the choice filling and locking process by 5 PM today through the official website, tnmedicalselection.net.


TN NEET-UG 2023: Stray Vacancy Round Registrations Ending Today


For those applying for choice filling in both medical and dental courses, there is a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 500 for government quota seats and Rs 1,000 for management quota.


Candidates opting for government quota seats in self-financing medical and dental colleges, as well as state private universities, will need to deposit Rs 30,000 as a security amount. However, candidates belonging to SC, SCA, ST categories with less than Rs 2.5 lakhs as an annual income are exempt from paying the security deposit. Those who have already paid fees in previous rounds do not need to submit it again.


The results of the TN NEET UG 2023 stray vacancy round are scheduled to be declared on September 26. Candidates can download the provisional allotment letter from September 27 to 29 and must report to the allotted colleges by 3 PM on September 30.


Documents Needed for TN-NEET UG 2023 Stray Round Registration

  • Class 10, 11 and 12 mark sheets

  • NEET 2023 admit card and result

  • Transfer certificate

  • Nativity Certificate: Candidates who have partially completed Classes 6 to 12 outside of Tamil Nadu must submit this certificate.

  • Parent's Domicile Certificate: Candidates who have studied in Class 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu need to provide their parent's certificate as proof of domicile.

  • Community Certificate

  • Special Category Form: Candidates belonging to special categories like persons with disabilities, sports persons, and ex-servicemen must duly fill and submit the special category form.
