NTA will be releasing the NEET 2022 answer key and result in the coming weeks. The result and the answer key will be released on the official website (neet.nta.nic.in). Before the result, the candidates must understand the revised ranking system on which the scores will be released and colleges will be allotted.
This year, not only negative marking has been introduced by NTA, even the tie-breaking criteria have seen significant changes. According to the new tie-breaking rule, each candidate will be allotted a unique rank.
Changes in NEET 2022 Ranking Criteria
In case of a tie, higher marks/percentile will be considered in Biology (Botany & Zoology), followed by Chemistry and Physics
If still there is a tie, then the student with less proportion of incorrect questions attempted would be given a higher rank in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It is to be noted that the subject order will be the same as mentioned
Still, if there is a tie, then age would be considered. The student older in age would be given a higher rank
In case candidates have the same birth date, then the one who has applied before will be given a higher rank.
The official date of the NEET 2022 result is still not confirmed, however, it is expected that the answer key will be released by August 18 and the result by the end of this month. The result will only be released once the answer key is out and all the objections are reviewed by the NTA. For further updates, candidates must check the official website regularly.
