As per the new changes, NEET 2021 will include two sections for each subject - Section A and Section B. Section A will include 35 questions while there will be 15 questions in Section B. With the ongoing application process for NEET 2021, the students must make sure to check the official website of NEET (www.ntaneet.nic.in) regularly for any new changes. The changes in the NEET 2021 exam pattern were introduced in order to rationalise the reduced exam syllabus.

The previous exam pattern for NEET included 180 objective type questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Each of these questions consisted of four options with a single correct answer.

As per the official information bulletin, NTA said, “To rationalise the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various school education boards, the NTA has taken the decision to provide choice in Section “B” for each of the 4 (four) subjects.”

However, no new changes have been made in the eligibility criteria and age limit of the candidates to apply for the medical entrance exams. Candidates who have registered for NEET-UG 2021, must complete 17 years of age during their time of admission. As per the latest NEET 2021 eligibility criteria, the upper age limit for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwD candidates is 25 years as of the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years.

As declared by the Union Education Minister, NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted on 12th September 2021 on paper in 11 different languages. The registration process has already been started from 13th July 2021 and candidates can register online by visiting the official website. The last date for online application is August 6, 2021.
