NEET 2020 Results to be Declared Soon on the Official Website

Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that NEET 2020 results will be declared soon in order to avoid any kind of further delay. According to the several reports, NEET-UG results are expected to be announced on or before October 12 on the official website of NTA.



Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET is the very competitive medical entrance exam in India. The exam was finally held on September 13 following a lot of hullabaloos due to COVID-19 pandemic as per the Supreme Court order. The answer key for the same was released on September 28 while the OMR sheet was published online on October 5, 2020.

While it is expected that the NEET results will be announced very soon, NTA has not announced any official date or any kind official schedule for the further procedure such as counselling.


How to Check the NEET 2020 Result Online?

Step 1: Visit the NEET UG official website.

Step 2: Click on the link named ‘NEET 2020 Result’ to check your result.

Step 3: Enter the legion credentials such as application number and other details.

Step 4: Hit the submit button.

Step 5: The result will appear on your screen. Download for further use.


The cut-off for NEET 2020 could be a little higher this year as the exam paper was comparatively easy and students got more time to prepare for the exam. On the other hand, some relaxation might be there regarding the NEET 2020 cut-off this year as there were a lot of complications regarding the exam process due to the coronavirus pandemic.


NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is one of the most competitive tests to get admission in the prestigious medical colleges in the country. This year nearly 15.97 lakhs students registered for the NEET exam and around 13 lakhs have appeared for the same on September 13. The total percentage of attendance was 85-90 percent across the country.


However, as mentioned earlier, NTA has already released the answer key online on September 26 and the OMR sheet is also released. Hence the students can download these online from the official website of NTA to assess their performance and can find out the probable score that they could score in the NEET UG 2020 exam. Students who have appeared in the NEET 2020 exam can also raise an objection against the answer sheet released by the National Testing Agency.


Upon the result declaration of NEET UG exam, NTA will announce the schedule for the counselling and admission process. The entire procedure is expected to be completed very soon as the authority is willing to prevent any further delay to start the new session. All the relevant details will be updated on the official website and a few other government websites.
