उत्तर: चित्र 12.13 में दर्शाई गई वयवस्था में बल्ब के दीप्तिमान नहीं होने के निम्नलिखित कारण सम्भव है:

उसका बल्ब फ्यूज हो सकता है।

उसका जोड़ ढीला हो सकता है।

सेल में संचित रासायनिक पदार्थ समाप्त हो चुका हो।

4. चित्र 12.14 में दर्शाए गए आरेख को पूरा कीजिए और बताइए कि बल्ब को दीप्तिमान करने के लिए तारों के स्वतंत्र सिरों को किस प्रकार जोड़ना चाहिए?

5. विद्युत-स्विच को उपयोग करने का क्या प्रयोजन है। कुछ विद्युत साधित्रों के नाम बताइए जिसमें स्विच उसके अंदर ही निर्मित होते हैं।

उत्तर: विद्युत-स्विच विद्युत-परिपथ को जोड़ और तोड़ सकती है। इसलिए इसका उपयोग बल्ब को दीप्तिमान करने तथा अन्य बिजली की उपकरणों को अपनी सुविधानुसार चलाने और बंद करने के लिए करते हैं। इससे बिजली की बचत भी होती है। टेलीविजन, टेबल-फैन, वाशिंग मशीन, जूसर आदि कुछ विद्युत साधित्रें हैं जिसमें स्विच उसके अंदर ही निर्मित होते हैं।

6. चित्र 12.14 में सुरक्षा पिन की जगह अगर रबड़ लगा दें तो क्या बल्ब दीप्तिमान होगा?

उत्तर: चित्र 12.14 में सुरक्षा पिन की जगह अगर रबड़ लगा दें तो बल्ब दीप्तिमान नहीं होगा। क्योंकि रबड़ विद्युत-रोधक वस्तु है। ये अपने अंदर से विद्युत-धारा को प्रवाहित नहीं होने देता है।

उत्तर: किसी वस्तु के साथ “चालक-परिक्षित्र” का उपयोग करने पर बल्ब का दीप्तिमान होना यह सिद्ध करता है कि इस वस्तु का पदार्थ विद्युत-चालक है।

9. आपके घर में स्विच की मरम्मत करते समय विद्युत-मिस्तरी रबड़ के दस्ताने क्यों पहनता है? व्याख्या कीजिए।

उत्तर: रबर एक विद्युत रोधक होता है|  जब विद्युत मिस्त्री हमारे घर स्विच की मरम्मत करने के लिए आता है तो वह रबड़ के दस्ताने इसलिए पहनता है ताकि उसे करंट ना लग जाए क्योंकि रबड़ के दस्ताने विद्युत रोधक होते हैं| वह अपने बचाव के लिए रबर के दस्ताने पहनता है|
