Counselling Procedure

  • Counselling for Deemed and Central Universities

DGHS - The Counselling Authority for Central and Deemed Universities undertake 2 rounds of counselling. After these rounds, a mop-up round is conducted. 

  • Counselling for AMFC & IP Wards ESIC

For AMFC & IP Wards ESIC, the counselling Authority is also DGHS. Candidates who are interested in getting eligibility under this category have to register for the same through the online DGHS portal. 

  • Counselling for State Quota Seats

The respective state counselling authorities undertake counselling for up to 85 per cent of the state quota seats in their respective states.  Usually, such seats are reserved for aspirants who hold the domicile of the states.  Counselling for these seats is undertaken within two or three rounds of counselling. After these rounds, a mop-up round is conducted.

  • Counselling for Private Colleges in India

The respective state authorities are also responsible for undertaking counselling for all private colleges in India. The counselling for private colleges in India is undertaken in 3 or 4 rounds. After these rounds, a mop-up round is conducted. 


Post Registration Documents Required

Students wondering after NEET what to do should remember that during the respective counselling processes they must carry certain basic documents such as NEET Rank Letter, NEET Admit Card 2022, Domicile Proof (only for state quota seats), ID Proof, and Class 10 and 12 Marksheets and Certificates.
