CUET-UG 2024: Last Date For Application Extended till March 31

On Tuesday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to extend the deadline for online application submission for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (CUET UG 2024). This decision was made following requests from candidates and other stakeholders.


According to the updated timetable, applicants can now complete the online application process for the entrance exam until March 31 (9:50 pm) on exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/, the official website for applying for CUET UG 2024.


CUET-UG 2024 Application Deadline Extended: Apply by March 31


Previously, on March 17, the head of the UGC communicated that the entrance exam timetable would remain unchanged despite the Lok Sabha elections. The CUET-UG 2024 will proceed as initially announced, scheduled to be conducted between May 15 and May 31, 2024.


The schedule for the CUET UG 2024 will be made available after the conclusion of the registration process, as stated by the UGC Chairman.


CUET UG 2024 Registration: How to Apply for the Exam?

  • Access the application form link for CUET UG 2024.

  • Navigate to the new candidate registration page.

  • Complete the registration process and obtain your login credentials.

  • Sign in to your account and complete the application form.

  • Upload the necessary documents and proceed to pay the application fee.

  • Submit your form and download the confirmation page.


Updated Examination Scheme For CUET 2024

There will be a total of 33 languages and 29 subjects available for selection. Candidates have the freedom to choose any subject or language offered by the respective University or Organization. In each language paper, candidates are required to attempt 40 questions out of a total of 50.


For undergraduate programmes using a General Test for admission purposes, candidates need to attempt 50 questions out of a total of 60.


Note: Under directives from the UGC and CBSE, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has incorporated two new subjects, namely Fashion Studies and Tourism, into the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) - 2024. This initiative aims to foster skill-based subjects in alignment with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP).


The extension of the CUET-UG 2024 application deadline until March 31 offers candidates more time to apply. As the new deadline approaches, applicants are advised to promptly complete their registrations to avoid any last-minute rush.
