CBSE Released 12th Result 2024: Check Your Results, Passing Criteria and Trends

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for the Class 12 board examinations for the year 2024. Students who appeared in the CBSE Board Class 12 Exams 2024 can now access their results on the official website at

In the national capital alone, 5.80 lakh students participated in the CBSE Board exams 2024, which were conducted across 877 examination centres.

A staggering total of 39 lakh students from approximately 26 different countries appeared for the exams this year.

How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2024:

Students can follow these steps to check their CBSE Class 12 results:

  1. Visit the official CBSE website: or

  2. Click on the link for “Examinations/Board Result 2024” on the homepage.

  3. Choose the appropriate link for Class 12 Board results 2024.

  4. A new window will open; Enter your Roll Number

  5. Enter School No.

  6. Enter Admit Card ID.

  7. Click on “Submit”.

  8. Your CBSE Class 12 results will be displayed on the screen.

  9. Download the result and take a printout for future reference.

How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2024 through DigiLocker:

Students can also check their results through DigiLocker:

  1. Log in to your DigiLocker app or create an account.

  2. Click on the CBSE Result 2024 option.

  3. Select the activated link for CBSE Class 12 Result 2024.

  4. Enter your Aadhaar number.

  5. Click on submit.

  6. Your scorecard will be displayed on the mobile screen.

Passing Criteria for CBSE Board Result 2024

  • Obtain a grade higher than 'E' (at least 33% marks) in all subjects.

  • For practical subjects, secure 33% marks in both theoretical and practical components, and at least 33% marks in aggregate.

In a move to discourage unhealthy competition among students, CBSE has decided not to publish any merit lists.

Passing Trends for Class 12 Over Last 5 Years

  • 2023: 87.33%

  • 2022: 92.71%

  • 2021: 99.37%

  • 2020: 88.78%

  • 2019: 83.4%

Students are advised to check their results promptly and take necessary actions accordingly.
