Hint They are pigments that are found in chloroplasts of photosynthetic bacteria and catch the sunlight energy required for photosynthesis. The chlorophyll pigment is accountable for the green coloration in plants.

Complete answer:
Chlorophyll is found in most photosynthetic plants except bacteria. It's called primary photosynthetic pigment because it performs primary reactions of photosynthesis which involves the conversion of light energy into chemical energy. Other photosynthetic pigments such as chlorophyll b, xanthophylls, and carotenes are known as accessory pigments. They absorb light energy of various wavelengths, broaden the spectrum of sunshine absorption and deliver the energy to chlorophyll aq through electron spin resonance and also protect chlorophyll a from photo-oxidation.

Additional information:
Plants pigments (in order of increasing polarity):
-Carotene: an orange pigment
- Xanthophyll: a yellow pigment
- Phaeophytin a: a gray-brown pigment
- Phaeophytin b: a yellow-brown pigment
- Chlorophyll a: a blue-green pigment
- Chlorophyll b: a yellow-green pigment
Chlorophyll is the commonest of the six, found in each and every plant that possesses photosynthesis. The reason that there are numerous pigments is that every absorbs light more sufficiently during a different part of the spectrum. Chlorophyll a sock up light good at a wavelength of around 400–450 nm and at 650–700 nm; chlorophyll b at 450–500 nm and at 600–650 nm. Xanthophyll absorbs well at 400–530 nm. However, none of the pigments absorb well within the green-yellow area, which is liable for the sufficient green we saw in nature.

So the correct option is 'both (b) and (c)'.

Note: Accessory pigments are light-absorbing compounds, present in photosynthetic organisms that are employed in association with chlorophyll a. Pigment chlorophyll b found in green algal and higher plant antennae, while other algae may contain chlorophyll c or d. There are various non-chlorophyll accessory pigments, like carotenoids or phycobiliproteins, which also involve light and transfer that light energy to photosystem chlorophyll. Carotenoids also work as antioxidants.
