CBSE Exams 2023: Check Fake Websites Listing Sample Papers for Class 10 & 12

The fraudulent sample papers for classes 10 and 12 that are circulating online were brought to the attention of students, teachers, and other stakeholders in a notification from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The letter claims that "some dishonest elements" are disseminating false information and have established a fake link that contains 30 sample papers for classes 10 and 12. The website charges a fee in order to download the example paper.

In an urgent notification dated February 21, CBSE raised this issue and advised students to exercise "great caution." Even so, they made mention of the open access to sample papers on the official website. The Board has been made aware that certain dishonest individuals have constructed the site http://cbse.support/sp. claiming that the CBSE has sent 30 sample papers for the class 10 and class 12 exams, that the test questions will only be taken from these sample papers, and requesting payment to obtain these papers," the CBSE stated in a statement.


All interested parties are hereby advised to exercise great caution and not click on any such irrelevant website links or messages, the board continued. The official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, has prior year sample papers of multiple subject available for students to see. Parents or students are not required to pay any fees in order to download sample papers from the Board.


Steps To Download CBSE Sample Papers

Step 1: Visit CBSE’s official website (cbse.gov.in)

Step 2: Click on the ‘Academic Webpage’ tab

Step 3: Select ‘Sample Question Paper’ from the homepage

Step 4: From the drop-down menu, select the respective class for sample paper

Step 5: Select the year for which questions paper is needed

Step 6: There will be a link to a new page with the sample test questions on it. Simply choose the appropriate link to have access to the sample papers for that particular subject.


The CBSE board exams for grades 10 and 12 began on February 15 at 7,250 centres, with about 38 lakh candidates participating. The 76 courses that are hosting the Class 10 exams will be concluded on March 21. 115 subjects will be covered in the Class 12 exams, which will conclude on April 5.
