The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for practical exams for winter-bound schools for classes 10th and 12th. The exams will begin on November 14, 2023, and will end on December 14, 2023.
Winter-bound schools are schools that are located in areas that experience heavy snowfall during the winter months. These schools typically have a shorter academic year than regular schools, and they may also have to close for extended periods of time due to bad weather.
The CBSE has released the practical exam date sheet early to give winter-bound schools enough time to prepare for the exams. The board has also asked schools to make sure that they have the necessary infrastructure and resources in place to conduct the exams smoothly.
CBSE will upload the marks for all practical exams, projects, and internal assessments at the same time as the practical exams begin. If a school has more than 30 students in a particular subject, the school must conduct the practical exams, projects, and internal assessments in two or three sessions per day, depending on the lab infrastructure available. CBSE also started that fine arts exams and assessments must always be conducted in two sessions per student.
What are the benefits of uploading practical exam marks simultaneously and conducting practical exams in multiple sessions?
Reduced workload on schools
Faster results for students
Reduced stress on students
Improved accommodation for a large number of students
CBSE is taking these steps to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the practical exam process for both schools and students.
Students who are enrolled in winter-bound schools should check the CBSE website for the official notification on the practical exam date sheet. They should also start preparing for the exams early so that they can do well.
