The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the syllabus for Class 9 to Class 12 for the academic year of 2021-22 and the board has not reduced any part of the syllabus for the students. Students of Class 9 to Class 12 can check the entire syllabus from the official website of CBSE.
The new academic year starts in April 2021. Unlike last year, this year CBSE has not made any changes in the syllabus despite the current pandemic situation. Last year, CBSE reduced the overall syllabus by 30 percent keeping the COVID-19 situation in mind.
Students must note that the detailed syllabus has been released for Class 9, 10, 11, and 12 students. Hence this year they have to study the full syllabus. Last year’s syllabus will not apply to the upcoming academic year’s syllabus. The new session begins on April 1, 2021. However, many schools are yet to begin the new session and still the final examination of the previous academic year is in the process.
Meanwhile, the syllabus for Class 1 to Class 8 of the CBSE board is decided by the schools’ authorities itself on the basis of the latest NCERT guidelines. CBSE is not responsible for the release of any kind of curriculum or books. NCERT is the responsible authority for the same.
NCERT stands for National Council for Education Research and Training who is responsible for publishing the study materials for all the classes of the CBSE board.
On the other hand, the dates of the CBSE board exam have been changed for this year i.e. May 4 to June 1, 2021. Amongst the revised date sheets, Class 12 Physics paper has been shifted to June 1 from May 13, 2021 and Mathematics paper for Class 10 will be on June 2, 2021. You can check all the dates here.
