CBSE Board Exams 2024: Registration Window Open For Private Students

Commencing on September 12, Tuesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is launching the registration process for board exams in 2024 for private students through its official website, cbse.gov.in. Once the registration form is made available, eligible students can proceed to register as private candidates with CBSE.


CBSE Board Exam 2024 Registration Begins For Private Students

The deadline for submitting the registration form is October 11. However, candidates will still have the opportunity to submit their forms until October 19, although with a late fee of ₹2,000. The examination fee for five subjects is ₹1,500, with an additional ₹300 charge for each extra subject.


Students opting for improvement, additional, and compartment exams will be required to remit a fee of ₹300. Additionally, the practical exam fee stands at ₹100 per subject. The board exams for private students are scheduled to take place in the months of February, March, and April.

Meanwhile, it's worth noting that the official notification for the CBSE board exam dates has already been released for Classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2023-24. These exams will kick off on February 15, 2024, and wrap up on April 10.

Step 2: Register your profile

Step 3: Enter the login credentials and fill out the application form

Step 4: Select the city of examination

Step 5: Pay the registration fees 

Step 6: Review your application form and submit

The CBSE is all set to start the preparations of board examinations for the academic year 2023-24, covering both classes 10 and 12, starting from February 15, 2023. This exam period is anticipated to span approximately 55 days, culminating on April 10, 2024, as indicated in the official notice.


In a related note, the CBSE declared the results for the academic session 2022-23 in May of this year. The announcement revealed that 87.33% of students successfully passed the Class 12 exams, reflecting a decrease of 5.38% compared to the previous year.
