Considering the present scenario related to COVID -19, BITS HD admission test (Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani) has been postponed as per the announcement made by the authorities. Besides, the BITS Pilani has also extended the last date of admission form submission till May 30 (12 pm). The application form for BITS HD has been released on March 20, 2020. However, there’s no new date for the exam yet.
Candidates who have completed their BE or Btech degree with overall 60 percent marks will be eligible to fill up the BITS HD application form from the institute’s official website. All the candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for admission.
BITS Pilani offers admission for their ME and M.Tech course through BITS HD and admission test and GATE score. Those who already appeared on the GATE examination and have a valid scorecard do not need to appear for the BITS HD admission test. The admission test will be conducted through online mode for their various M.Tech programmes offered in their three campuses including Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.
The result of the BITS HD will be published on the official website of the responsible authority (bitsadmission.com/hd). Candidates who will be shortlisted on the basis of their BITS HD result and GATE score will be eligible for the counselling process.
Keeping all the candidates’ convenience in mind, here is the list of important dates related to the BITS HD test and the eligibility criteria given in the following.
Eligibility Criteria:
As prescribed by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, it is quite mandatory for every candidate to go through the eligibility criteria prior to filling up the application form. The eligibility criteria for BITS HD admission include only educational qualifications of a candidate and their minimum marks they have scored in relevant examinations.
Candidates have passed B.E/B.Tech degree from a recognized Institute/university
Candidates who are applying through GATE are required to have a valid scorecard and must have completed their four years of B.E/B.Tech programmes.
Candidates must have scored at least 60 percent in BE / BTech marks in order to be eligible for the BITS HD admission test.
Candidates willing to apply in M.E software systems will have to appear for the admission test in order to be eligible for the admission procedure.
