If you have taken the WBJEE 2023 test then you will get the results in the month of May or June (tentative). The examination board will announce the result in the form of a scorecard. You will be able to check the result by login into the candidate portal using your application number and password. In the scorecard, you will be able to know the marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry along with the rank and total marks. How to Check WBJEE Result 2023?

If you want to know ‘How to Check WBJEE Result 2023?’ then you will have to follow some steps. The result will be declared by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board in online mode.

To check the result, you will have to open the official portal of WBJEE 2023 by visiting the website. 

There will be a separate section for results on the website. You will have to click on the result section and when the next page opens, you will have to log in using the application number and password. If the result has been declared then you will be able to see your result. 

There will be a scorecard where you will be able to know your total score, your rank and the marks you have secured in each subject. There will be an option to download the WBJEE scorecard. It is advisable that you download the same and take a printout of the scorecard as you will need this for further admission process.

The details which will be mentioned in the scorecard are the Name of the Candidate, Roll Number of the Candidate, Rank, Total score, scores secured in Mathematics; Physics and Chemistry, Category, Date of Birth, Application Number, Gender and Domicile.

WBJEE List of Toppers

There will be a separate list for the candidates who have secured a position in the top ten. This list will be declared after the release of the WBJEE Result 2023. The rank and the score of the toppers will be mentioned in this list.

WBJEE 2023 Merit List

The examination board will also release a merit list along with the result. The merit list will be based on the secured marks of the students in each subject and the total marks. The merit list will also depend on the categories of the students. If your name appears on the merit list of WBJEE 2023 then you will be called for Counselling by the participating institutes.

WBJEE 2023 Cut-off List

The WBJEE Board will also release the cutoff which depends on the category of the students. The cutoff for the WBJEE 2023 will be the opening rank and the closing rank within which the participating institutes will offer admission. The cutoff depends on the program, the institutes and the category of the students. If a candidate is from any reserved category then the cutoff will be a little lower for them.

WBJEE 2023 Counselling Process

The Counselling Process of the WBJEE 2023 will be in online mode. You will have to register yourself and pay the Counselling fee. The Counselling fee will not be refundable. The students who will be declared as qualified will get a notification for the dates of Counselling after the declaration of the results. Candidates will have to fill in choices and register in online mode. After the registration process, the candidates will be allotted seats in the institutes. The seats will be allotted according to the rank, category and choices filled by the students.

There are many government and private institutes which participate in WBJEE. You will be able to choose the institutes you want to join. If your rank and score match the requirements of those institutes which you have chosen then you will be allotted seats in those institutes otherwise you will be allotted a seat according to your rank and you will have to accept the allotted institute in order to complete the admission process.

If you secure a seat in the first round of the Counselling then you will have to pay a provision admission fee. Either you will have to accept the allotted seat or you will have to opt for Counselling in the next round. The provisional admission fee also depends on the category of the candidates, the program and the institutions. After this process, you will have to go to the reporting centres for your document verification. You will have to carry all the necessary documents like WBJEE Admit Card, WBJEE Result, Seat allotment letter, mark sheet of 10th standard, Receipt of Counselling Registration Fee, Domicile certificate, PWD certificate, Category certificate along with the rank card.

A provisional admission letter will be issued for you by the reporting centre and you will have to go to your allotment institute and submit the letter within the given time. And finally, you will get a final admission status from the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.

The result of WBJEE 2023 will be on the basis of the program you have applied for. The scorecard which you get from the website will include your rank, marks and individual scores. You will have to download and take a printout of the scorecard carefully until the completion of the admission process. If you don't download the scorecard within the given time then you will have to pay additional charges to download the scorecard later.
