The following steps can be followed to check the JEE Main Paper 2 Result April 2020:
First of all, you have to visit the official site of JEE Main 2020.
Click on the official result link that will appear next.
After that, enter your JEE Main 2020 application number and your date of birth.
Press on the ‘submit’ button.
The result will appear on the screen.
The candidates can download the result and print the same for further reference.
The specifications that you will find appearing in the result box of the JEE Paper 2 Result are as follows:
Date of birth of the candidate
Roll number of the candidate in respect of JEE Main 2020
Candidate’s nationality and category
State code in respect of the eligibility
Subject-wise scores of NTA
Total NTS score secured by the candidate
As mentioned before, the final NTA score on the basis of All India Rank will be released after the April result is announced.
If you appear for only one session (i.e. either in January or in April), your NTA scores in every subject and the total score of the particular session you attempted will be recorded in the result/scorecard.
For the candidates who appeared in both the sessions of January and April, the total normalized NTA score secured in both the sessions, consolidated with their All India Rank and Category Rank, will be mentioned in the scorecard of JEE main paper 2 Result 2020.
If two or more candidates obtain the same marks in JEE Paper 2 Result then inter-se-merit will be calculated by the concerned authority. To break the tie, the following steps will be taken:
Candidates obtaining greater marks in the aptitude test of Paper 2 will be ranked higher.
If the tie is still present then the candidates securing higher marks in the drawing segment will be ranked higher.
If the tie still persists, the older candidate will be given a higher rank.
If all the above-mentioned facts are similar for every candidate then the same rank will be awarded to the candidates.
While preparing the JEE Main 2020 Rank list, the raw scores secured by the candidates are to be normalized at first to compile the same. Normalization is a must to give equal weight to all the papers of different shifts. The marks secured in both the sessions will be merged. If the candidate appears in both the sessions of the paper then best of the two NTA scores will be taken into account. If a candidate appears in only one session then that particular session’s score will be considered.
JEE Main Paper 2 Cut off 2020 will be fixed on the basis of the participating institutions’ seats along with the total number of qualifying candidates. The lowest marks that the candidates have to obtain for greater chances of admission into the participating institutes will set the JEE Main Paper 2 Cut Off 2020.
