The first phase of JEE Main exam date 2023 is declared and the examination will be going to conduct on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30 , 31, and February 1. The exam has two papers; Paper 1 will be conducted for admission to B.Tech/B.E courses and Paper 2 for admission to courses in B.Arch/B.Planning. The exam will be conducted in the same pattern.

 

After qualifying for the JEE Main, candidates can apply for admission to one of the courses mentioned above in many governments and private colleges in India. However, those aiming for admission to one of the IITs need to mandatorily clear JEE Advanced 2023 after qualifying for JEE Main. Candidates ranking among the top 2.5 lakh will be eligible to sit for the counselling and the process henceforth.

JEE Main Exam Date 2023

JEE Main will be conducted twice every year. In 2023, the same pattern will be continued, and examinations for both papers will take place in two separate sessions: January and April.

Candidates can choose one JEE Main online exam date from the available sitting as per their convenience and appear for it. 

 

Mode of Examination

Examinations for all the sittings of JEE Main Paper 1 are conducted in Computer-Based Training (CBT) mode. For Paper 2, a part of this exam follows the CBT mode, and the rest is in offline mode. The JEE Main 2023 followed this mode.

The same schedule applies for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the two sessions.

 

While all the procedures for these exams will be held in the first session of 2023, i.e., January, and many for the second session, i.e., April session, the exam will have some procedures that are as follows.

Tentative Counselling Dates for JEE Main

Aspirants looking for JEE Main exam date 2023 must also be aware of other relevant dates related to this JEE Main exam’s counselling procedure. With this information, they can prepare for admission to a participating institute on the qualifying exam.

 

JoSAA conducts the counselling process for admission to various B.Tech/B.Arch courses in Indian institutes. CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) conducts two additional rounds, whereby it allots the remaining seats of UTs, and regions in the Northeast along with the other 17 SFTIs participating in the counselling procedure. Also, as mentioned above, these are predicted dates as per counselling conducted in previous years. Its actual dates will be updated once the conducting authority notifies us of the same after JEE Main 2023 results are out.
