JEE Main 2023 Question Paper with Solutions (1 February)

In comparison to last year's paper, candidates found the overall questions in   to be moderate to difficult this year. JEE Main 2023 1 February Shift 1 and 2 - Question Paper Analysis

Based on the initial feedback from students, Shift 1 and 2, both papers were easy to moderate in overall difficulty level, and both shifts had the Maths section as lengthy and time-consuming. Shift 1 was as expected according to the analysis of the previous shifts, while Shift 2 paper was easier than that last year’s.

Where Physics was the easiest in the Morning Shift, the Chemistry paper was the easiest in the Evening Shift. Maths in the second shift was tougher than the previous shifts. In shift 1, Organic chemistry was the dominating one, while in Shift 2, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry had equal weightage.

There were more formula-based and numerical-based questions in both shifts. Most of the paper in both shifts was based on the fundamental concepts of NCERT textbooks. Thus, students who had practised well from the NCERT textbooks could solve most questions without difficulty.
