1. What is new in JEE Main 2023?

3. Which are the participating institutes of JEE Main 2023?

Candidates who have passed JEE Main 2023 can apply for admission to 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 CFTIs. From 2019, Two IIITs and five CFTIs have been added to the list of JEE Main participating institutes.

4. When will the JEE (Main) - 2023 Session 2 Online Application Form be accessible on the website?

The Online Application Form for JEE (Main) - 2023 Session 2 is available from 15.02.2023 to 12.03.2023 (up to 09.00P.M) on the original JEE website.

5. Is it necessary for an applicant to fill out a different Application Form for each session?

Yes. Candidates can fill out an Application Form and pay the required examination fee for each session separately when the portal for that session opens.


Please remember that the candidate cannot apply for both sessions simultaneously.

6. How many JEE Main 2023 attempts am I allowed?

The total number of attempts in IIT JEE Main 2023 will be two, as the exam will be held in two sessions in consecutive years.

7. What are the eligibility criteria appearing in JEE Advance 2023?

To appear in JEE Advanced 2023, aspirants must qualify in the JEE Main 2023 and rank in the top 2,50,000 candidates in order of merit.

8. What should I do if I get a 'continuous timeout' or a 'file not found error' when filling out the online JEE - 2023 Application Form?

Fill out the Application Form with the updated version of Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer and a reliable internet connection. Clear cookies and browser history and fill in off-peak hours if you are constantly timed out.

9. In 2022, I appeared for my first Class XII (or equivalent) exams. Am I eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2023?

YES. You can take JEE (Advanced) 2023 if you meet all the eligibility conditions listed in the Information Brochure (check Clause 11. Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals Attending JEE Advanced 2023).

10. What is new in JEE Main 2023?

JEE Main 2023 will be held in two sessions by NTA. The exam will be given in 13 languages, and there will be multiple-choice questions in Numerical Value Questions. There will also be options in Numerical Value Questions.

11. Who should be contacted if one still needs to get Admit Card for the JEE exam?

12. Documents which candidates need to get at JEE the exam center?

At the examination center, the candidate must bring the following items:


  • The admit card and a passport-sized photograph.

  • One passport-size photograph (to be affixed to the admit card on the day of the Exam).

  • No other items are allowed to get above mentioned to the examination centers.

13. Is Aadhaar mandatory for JEE 2023?

No, the AADHAAR number is just one identification method and is not required. Applicants can also enter their Passport number, School ID card number, Ration Card number, Bank Account number, or any other legal Government identity number.

14. I accepted a seat through JoSAA 2022 and only withdrew from the organisation after the final round of seat allotment. Is JEE (Advanced) 2023 eligible for me?

You are not eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2023 if you accepted a seat in an IIT through JoSAA 2022 and did not withdraw the given seat in the IIT from JoSAA before the last round of seat allotment. However, suppose you have accepted a seat through JoSAA 2022 in NITs/IIITs/Other GFTIs and you meet all of the other eligibility criteria listed in the Information Brochure (see Clause 11, Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals Appearing for JEE (Advanced) 2023). In that case, you are eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2023.

15. What are the eligibility criteria for foreign JEE (Advanced) applicants in 2023?

Eligibility criteria for foreign candidates for JEE (Advanced) 2023 are:


  • Candidates who are not citizens of India (by birth or naturalisation, but not OCI/PIO candidates) would be categorised as FOREIGN NATIONALS for JEE (Advanced) 2023.

  • Foreign national applicants are not required to write JEE (Main) 2023 while enrolling for JEE (Advanced) 2023. They may register for JEE (Advanced) 2023 if the other eligibility conditions listed below are met.

  • All foreign national candidates will be considered in addition to the 2,50,000 Indian national candidates who qualify to take the JEE (Advanced) 2023.

  • All the seats allotted to foreign national candidates will be supernumerary, with a cap of 10% of the seats in every course. These candidates are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories/sub-categories as specified in the Information Brochure of JEE (Advanced) 2023. There are no separate female supernumerary seats or sub-categories in the foreign national supernumerary seats.

17. What is the examination mode of JEE Main?

The JEE Main exam will be administered online as a computer-based test. Paper-1 will be computer-based, while Paper-2 will be entirely computer-based Mathematics and Aptitude Test, except for the Drawing test, which will be pen and paper-based.

18. How can I improve my skills in solving JEE Questions?

The best and most successful strategy to improve your skills for answering JEE Main questions is to solve as many question papers as possible, whether sample papers or previous year exams. Applicants can also take mock tests. All of these study exercises will assist hopefuls in becoming familiar with the paper patterns and how to answer questions during the exam. 19. How to download my documents for JEE Main 2023?

20. When will mock tests be available? How do I access them?

Mock exams for JEE Main 2023 will be available online at the NTA's official website. Students who have access to a computer system can also download the tests and work at their own leisure. Students without computers can register and stroll into any JEE Main 2023 practice centers, which will be announced soon, to practice every Saturday and Sunday.
