JEE Advanced is one of the major competitive exams held in India to get a seat in one of the 23 Indian Institute of Technologies of India and also Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad. The exam is conducted by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) and is organized by seven zonal IITs. IIT Guwahati has taken the responsibility of organizing the exam for 2023.
This exam opens the door for the much-coveted seat in any of the IITs for graduation courses in engineering and integrated postgraduate courses for core science subjects. The ranking in the exams will decide the IIT you can choose for the programme. The eligibility criterion to appear for the exam is to qualify for the JEE Main exam. Only the selected candidates who have qualified in JEE Main can appear in JEE Advanced. Last year, i.e., in 2022, around 2.5 lakh students got qualified in JEE Main to sit for JEE Advanced.
